Signature Framework

The Goshen Leadership Framework & Assessment

A guided organizational readiness experience for churches, boards, ministries, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations. The Goshen Assessment provides a compassionate, structured review of how well your people, systems, and leadership are working together — and what it will take to move forward with confidence.

This is not an audit. It is a guided conversation with a purpose — led by advisors who have served in the rooms where this work matters most.

What It Is

Not an Audit. A Guided Assessment.

The Goshen Leadership Framework & Assessment helps leadership teams evaluate how well their people, processes, systems, communication, accountability, and care structures are working together. It is designed for organizations that are ready to look honestly at where they are — so they can move purposefully toward where they need to be.

Developed by Fredlena M. Cosby from two decades of operational and ministry advisory experience, the Goshen Assessment is a confidential, advisor-led process that brings clarity to what is working, names what is not, and provides a practical path forward — without blame and without unnecessary disruption.

It is the kind of support that helps leaders lead better, organizations function healthier, and missions stay on course.

"It is not about finding fault. It is about finding the path forward."

What It Evaluates

Five Assessment Pillars

01

Leadership Readiness

Are leaders clear, equipped, supported, and aligned with the vision? Do they have the information, structures, and support they need to lead consistently and with confidence — even under pressure?

02

Operational Health

Do your systems, processes, documentation, and workflows actively support the mission — or are they creating confusion, duplication, and gaps that quietly undermine your effectiveness?

03

Communication Flow

Is communication clear, timely, and moving in the right direction — up, down, and across? Are decisions being communicated, expectations set, and people informed in ways that build trust rather than erode it?

04

Accountability Structures

Is it clear who owns what, who decides what, and how follow-through actually happens? Strong accountability is not punitive — it is the structure that protects the mission and the people who carry it.

05

Care & Stewardship

Are people — volunteers, staff, seniors, families, and leaders — handled with wisdom, dignity, and consistency? Good organizations care well for the people they serve and the people who serve alongside them.
